His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad a-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), affirmed that the state is determined to protect civilians, uphold its legal standing and maintain unity in its military and security decisions, warning of the danger posed by the escalation of the South Transitional Council (STC) in Hadramout and al-Mahra governorates and the involvement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in supporting the rebellion and undermining state institutions.

Transport institutions to be regained in Mahra

Minister of Transport Saleh al-Jabwani discussed with First Deputy Governor of Mahra Province Mukhtar bin Oweidh on Sunday here improving transport sector in the province via opening branches to offices of the transport institutions.

The meeting dealt with discussing implementation of the transport minister's decision on opening a number of transport facilities; the office for general authority for marine affairs and establishing the general authority for organizing ground transport affairs.

The meeting dealt with the minister's directives to the executive chairman of the Yemeni Arab Sea Corporation on commencing deepening works of Nashtoon Port, removing dust and drizzles from the basin of the port and communicating with the minister of planning and international cooperation for supplying Khalfout Trade Port.

Minister al-Jabwani pointed to significance of transport sector for activating economic and development fields in the country.

For his part, the deputy governor pointed to significance of opening transport institutions in the province and launching the Port of Ghaitha for local flights and outside flights to nearby countries in the near future.
