Prime Minister, Finance Minister, CBY Governor discuss financial issues

Prime Minister Ma'eenAbdulmalik, Minister of Finance Ahmad al-Fadhli and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Mohammad Zimam discussed on Monday a number of issues regarding performance of the bank and economic and financial situations.

Prime Minister was briefed by Zimam on mechanism of credits assigned for basic goods and future plans of the bank for improving its performance.

He stressed pushing development forward via implementing financial and administrative reform programs and activating monitoring institutions for ensuring economic revival and improving government economic and financial performance.

He confirmed that the government gives top priority to economic file and stressed significance ofregular follow up of the prices of the national currency and people livelihoods.

For his part, the Head of the CBY confirmed commitment of implementing the law on raising periodical reports to the prime minister.
