Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Yemen, Iraq discus situation developments in Yemen

Yemen's Ambassador to Iraq al-Khadher Marmash discussed with the Second Deputy Speaker of Iraqi Parliament Khalil al-Haddad on Sunday situation developments in Yemen over Houthi militia's coup against the state and the national consensus.

Marmash confirmed keenness of the government on supporting efforts of the United Nations for realizing peace in Yemen on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.

He also pointed to Yemen's willing of improving relations between the parliaments of the countries for serving the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

For his part, al-Haddad expressed sympathies with the Yemeni people, hoping that Yemeni people overcome this ordeal through a dialogue leads to inclusive peaceful solution to the crisis.

He praised positive reaction of the government of Yemen with UN efforts for realizing peace, voicing his country's readiness to exert possible efforts for boosting relations with the Yemeni parliament in different levels.
