Yemen’s Ambassador to the United States, Jamila Raja, met on Thursday with Robert Palladino, an official in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, to discuss prospects for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries across a variety of fields.

Al-Ruaini: The federal state ensures just shares of power and wealth

Minister of State for Implementation of Outcomes of the National Dialogue ConferenceYaser al-Ruaini has said the federal state approved by outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) ensures just distribution of wealth and power.

He added that this will be achieved in four levels of powers; the federation, the region, the state and the district with giving privileges to Sana'a and Aden cities to have their legislative and executive authorities elected.

Minster al-Ruaini launched on Thursday the first awareness session on privileges of Aden city included in the document of the dialogue and the constitution draft.

He pointed out these sessions will be distributed on different districts and neighborhoods of Aden and will tackle the rights given to Aden city in NDC's outcomes and the constitution draft for the sake of the development of Aden and its civilized status which its strategic position generates income to the national economy.

He said Aden is an economic city in the federal state and its legislative and executive authorities have the right to draft laws, bylaws and decisions enabling it to perform its economic role.
