The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

VP follows up on efforts to enhance performance of state institutions

Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh has followed up on the government's efforts to enhance the performance of state institutions in the territories liberated from the Houthi militia.

In a meeting with Prime Minister Moeen Abdulmalik here on Monday, the Vice President followed up on the latest developments in the liberated areas mainly in the temporary capital Aden.

The Prime Minister briefed him on the efforts being made in the field of development, providing the basic services and enhancing the capability of state institutions to carry out their duties in line with the directives of His Excellency President Abd-Rabbu Mansoor Hadi.

The Vice President appreciated the successes of the Government's Economic Committee in reversing the deterioration of the national currency and preventing its collapse.

He stressed the need to take more efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and end the Houthi coup, the cause of Yemen's conflict and humanitarian misery.
