Agriculture Ministry, FAOorganize training course to enhance food security

The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (FAO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) launched a training course for the facilitators of farmers' groups in Abyan and Shabwawithin the framework of the EU-funded Food Security and Livelihood Stabilization Program.
The training course targets 22 participants from Abyan and Shabwa governorates and will last for four days.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Ali Al-Junaid said that the course aims at improving the productivity of farmers in the targeted governorates and enhancing their ability to improve plant and animal production and provide them with the necessary skills to contribute to the formation and management of the productive farmers association.
