The Republic of Yemen participated today, Thursday, in the meeting of central bank governors and finance ministers of the Middle East and North Africa countries, held in Washington, on the sidelines of the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB).

Yemen, EDRA discuss training cooperation

Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Abdulrazzaq al-Ashwal discussed on Thursday with Director of EDRA organization KhaledAbdo strengthening cooperation between the two parties in training and qualifying youth to compete in labor markets.

Minister al-Ashwal confirmed significance of coordination between the ministry and the organization regarding qualifying youth and joint work for establishing a section for solar energy in technical institutes and training programs on the solar energy maintenance.

He pointed out that his ministry is preparing clear criteriaon means of granting license to manage the project for graduates of small projects diploma.

For his part, the Director of EDRA reviewed training projects being implemented by the organization and challenges facing the organization's activities in different Yemeni provinces.
