The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Yemen participates in COP 24 in Poland

Minister of Water and Environment Dr. EzziShuraimhas participated in the Conference of Climate Politics Hypocrisy or COP 24 here.

The conference has been kicked off on December 4 and continues to December 14.

In a speech he delivered in the conference, Shuraim confirmed that the government of Yemen is caring about climate change and Yemen has suffered from cyclones, water scarcity and high temperature in some areas due climate change.

He pointed out that Yemen appreciates efforts of the Green Climate Fund and confirms the right of under developed countries in realizing sustainable development and that Yemen hopes for realizing aspirations of Yemeni people in realizing peace and sustainable development.

These efforts are faced by sustainable destruction of future generations by Houthi terrorist militia, which laying mines and destroying all the state's capabilities, he said.
