Socotra Governor praises Saudi, Emirati support for province

Socotra Governor Ramzi Mahrous has followed up on the progress of the works to develop Socotra International Airport with support from the United Arab Emirates as part of the UAE's development efforts in the archipelago province.

The Governor praised the support provided by the UAE represented by its humanitarian institutions operating in the province, which left a positive effect on the function of the vital sectors of Socotra.

He has also followed up on a military hospital project that is being established now with support from the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a tour in the project's site, the governor was briefed by experts on the progress of the project and the components of it.

He praised the Saudi efforts to set up this facility and Saudi keenness to implement more vital service projects that address the needs of the people of Socotra.
