Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Mansour Bajjash discussed with the Assistant of the UN Secretary General, the Executive Head of the UN-HABITAT Mo'mena Sharif on Wednesday cooperation programs and partnership in fields of reconstruction, regaining services and urban planning.
Bajjashreviewed havocs of destructing cities by the war triggered by Houthi militia the state and its institutions and targeting infrastructure.
He confirmed that the government is working hard from the transitional capital Aden on resuming services and reconstruction, calling for cooperation between the UN programs and the government of Yemen for overcoming effects of the war and alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people.
On the sidelines of his participation in the Sustainable Blue Economy Conference here, Bajjash stressed resumption of projected stopped by the war.
For her part, the UN official confirmed keenness in reconstruction in Yemen, pointing out the organization sponsors a number of projects and has a vision for expansion in a number of cities, adding urban planning projects and improving sanitation and other services.
