Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Yemen joins COMSATS

Yemen signed on Tuesday the treaty for joining the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS).

Yemen's Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammad al-Ashabi signed the treaty representing Yemeni party and Director of COMSATS JunaidiZaidi signed it for the commission party.

Al-Ashabi confirmed that joining Yemen to the commission confirms keenness of the government on reacting with outside world for ensuring Yemen's interests despite the country occupation with ending Houthi coup and tackling its catastrophic effects.

He expressed hope that Yemeni youth will make use of the commission's 22 centers and from Pakistani famous university COMSATS, as well as boosting academic and research cooperation with the commission.

The COMSATS has been established in 1994 and includes 27 countries from the southern states, led by China, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Nigeria and Colombia.

The commission tends to improve infrastructure of sciences and technology for serving sustainable development in member countries.
