Yemen, Russia exchange congratulations on long-term relations

Yemen's Ambassador to Moscow Ahmad al-Wahishi discussed with Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on Friday developments in Yemen.
Al-Wahishi confirmed support of the government to efforts on realizing peace based on the three foundations; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.
He renewed support of the government to efforts the UN envoy to Yemen for holding the forthcoming talks.
Al-Wahish handed over the Russian official a congratulation letter from Foreign Minister Khaled al-Yemany and on the 90thceremony of Yemeni-Russian relations and handed him also a letter from Justice Minister Judge Jamal Omer to his Russian counterpart on finalizing measures for transferring Yemeni citizen Abdullah HamdanGhassis to spend the rest of his imprisonment term in Yemen.
For his part, Bogdanov handed over al-Wahishi a congratulation letter from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to his Yemeni counterpart al-Yemany on the 90th ceremony of "Friendship and Trade" agreement between the two countries.
He expressed Russian efforts for ending Yemeni people's suffering over the war triggered by Houthi rebel militia.
