Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah presided over on Wednesday a meeting to the Ministerial Committee appointed by Prime Minister for tackling catastrophic effects left by the tropical storm Luban in Mahra.
The meeting dealt with the tasks of the committee and the initial report on losses and estimated cost.
Minister Fatah confirmed that the government will exert efforts for tackling impacts of the storm and alleviating suffering of the people, monopolizing support from donors to Mahra, preparing a program for tackling the catastrophe and continuing support and relief to the people.
He pointed out that the big catastrophes left by tropical storm require donor support for helping the government and the local authority for restoring services, helping affected people and reconstruction.
