Crude oil prices fell in early Asian trading today, Tuesday, as investors' expectations of demand growth eased due to ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China.
Yemen's Ambassador to Ottawa, Canada, Jamal Assallal met Tuesday with advisor of Canadian Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs John Hanford Jerry.
Bilateral ties between Yemen and Canada were discussed.
Assallal briefed Jerry on the situations in Yemen and the government's efforts aimed to make sustainable peace that based on the three terms of reference including GGC's Initiative, its executive mechanism, outcomes of National Dialogue and International Security Council resolution 2216.
The Ambassador expressed thanks and gratitude to the government of Canada for significant humanitarian support it provided to the Yemeni people.
He also called on Canada to join the 18 countries sponsoring political process in Yemen and to Yemen's Friends Group.
It is noteworthy that Canada increased its humanitarian assistance to $44 million in 2018 bringing Canadian aids up to $95.5 million since March 2017.
