Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh attended on Saturday the opening ceremony of the 14th Regional Summit held in Manama.
Officials, researchers and intellectuals representing more than 20 countries from across the world participate in the summit.
A number of work papers on the security of the Middle East, ongoing changes and international efforts for realizing peace in the region, as well as facing dangers have been made in the general sessions.
US State Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis delivered a speech in "Manama Dialogue" on US policy in the Middle East in which he pointed to situation in Yemen and renewed support of the United States to the government.
The suggested agreement for peace in Yemen include disarming Houthis and including them in the political process, stopping the war and cooperation with the UN envoy for tackling the basic issues in the forthcoming talks, said Mattis.
Saudi Foreign Minister Khaled al-Jubair and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khaled Al Khalifa talked about exchanging relations and Middle Eastern regime, pointing to suffering of the Yemeni people over Iran-backed Houthi rebel militia's coup.
On the other hand, Vice President met on the sidelines of the summit with a number of officials and researchers and explained to them the nature of conflict in Yemen, which is based on extreme ideological background adopted by Houthi militia with support and financing from Iran, helped the militia to overthrow against the state and threating regional and international interests.
He welcomed all efforts, calls and decisions blacklisting Hezbollah and Houthi militias as terrorist organizations.
