Yemen's Ambassador to Ottawa Jamal Assllal met Saturday with Secretary of Minister of Canadian Minister of International Trade Omer Al-Ghabra.

Aspects of bilateral ties and issues of common intersect between Yemen and Canada was a central focus of Assallal's conversations with Al-Ghabra.

The Ambassador touched upon situations in Yemen, citing the government's efforts aiming to make sustainable peace in accordance with the three terms of reference.

He also voiced appreciation for Canadian's significant support to humanitarian action in Yemen.

It is noteworthy that Canada increased humanitarian aids up to $44 million in 2018, bringing Canadian assistance total amount to $95.5 million since March 2017.
