Marib's Executive Office calls on international health organizations to offer medical aid

Marib Province's Executive Office called on the international organizations operate in health to provide medical assistance to help local authority to cope with health challenges facing the province.

In its regularly monthly session held Sunday, the senior executive officials demanded UN's agencies and others which are interested in health situations to pay an inspection visit to Marib to get firsthand information about health conditions in the province where dengue and malaria endemics are largely spreading among Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) and local population.

It is important to note that there is a wide-scale outbreak of malaria and dengue fever in the province. As a result pressures upon limited health facilities and services are increasingly growing due to large number of the (IDPs), refugees and job-seekers who came to Marib.
