Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Eng. Mohamed Jozaylan, and deputy Saudi ministers of Environment, Water and Agriculture Dr. Hamad Al-Batshan and Ahmed Al-Ayadahdiscussed on Tuesday the possibility of providing support to the Yemeni agriculture and irrigation sector in the government-held provinces.
They discussed supporting Yemen in the field of plant quarantines; providing plant examination equipment and training agricultural staff in quarantines and fighting blights.
Jozaylan recounted the destruction the Houthimilitia have caused to the agricultural sector since their coup against the government in September 2014.
