Racist Houthi guerilla understand only (language of) force, says PM
[07/09/2018 02:30]

LONDON-SABA
Yemen's Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr said "we went to the Geneva consultations under the auspices of the United Nations, and we will have peace if the Houthis accept the three terms of reference for peace; the Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the national dialogue and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2216."

In an interview with the London-based daily al-Sharq al-Awsat, he said concessions should be given by the party that rebelled against the state and elected government, killed people and destroyed everything in Yemen- the Houthi militia.

"We have given the Houthis many opportunities and many truces. They have always asked for truce, and when fire was ceased, they availed themselves of it to strengthen their combat position on the frontlines and to replenish weapons and ammunition. This racist dynastical guerilla understands only (the language of) force."

He said the Houthi militants are hard to trust, they have no morals.

He pointed out that there is a conflict in the liberated provinces between those who want to restore the state from the Houthis and those who pursue special interests, "and this is a major challenge, but we count a lot on the awareness of the public."

He thanked the Saudi leadership, government and people for their sincere brotherly attitudes toward the Yemeni people in their struggle with the Iranian-supported Houthis.

He said that the government has repeatedly complained to the United Nations for hesitating to relocate offices from the Houthi-held Sana'a the temporary capital Aden.

He said that the absence of the UN organizations means the absence of relief aid in the provinces liberated from Houthis. He also said that some UN officials showed a bias in favour of the Houthi rebels.

He however noted that since the beginning of last year most of these organizations have begun to change and carry out relief aid projects of various magnitudes in the liberated provinces.
