Yemen categorically rejects interference in Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, affirms solidarity with Kingdom

Republic of Yemen strongly denounces the comment issued by the Canadian Foreign Minister and Canada's embassy in Riyadh about the so-called civil society activists. Yemeni Government considered such remark " flagrant and unacceptable interference in International Relations".

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry said in statement it issued Monday" The Republic of Yemen voiced its deep regret for the Canadian irresponsible stance and its absolutely unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), a sovereign country where the rule of law is prevailing and protecting human rights in light of keen interest in maintaining its security and peace and ensuring its society's social stability and welfare that many countries are lacking".

The Foreign Ministry has confirmed the Republic of Yemen's full solidarity with the (KSA) and it is standing alongside with its government in countering any external interference in its internal affairs or touch upon its sovereignty.

The statement asserted the Kingdom's right to take all necessary measures to ensure social peace and combat crime. "Yemen supports all constructive procedures the kingdom's government may take to maintain the kingdom's security and ensure its population's safety", the statement read.

The Republic of Yemen has stressed the importance of respecting laws, judicial regulations and procedures of the (KSA) under firm restrictions in International Relations and non-intervention in internal affairs.
