A seminar in Cairo on Yemeni woman's role in making peace

Yemen's Ambassador to Egypt Dr Mohammed Marm contributed to a seminar held in Cairo Sunday co-sponsored by the Yemeni embassy and the Council of Arab Economic Unity. The function themed " Woman and Peace Making'" .

The Ambassador stressed the importance role that Yemeni woman plays in all walks of life. He stated that National Dialogue's outcomes was a turning point in terms of engaging woman in all State's institutions and establishing a genuine partnership of the Yemeni woman.

For his part, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Dr Mohammed Arrabe'a praised the Yemeni woman's active contribution to the different political and cultural activities over the past decades.

The discussions focused on necessary national mechanisms to enforce the Resolution 1325 issued by International Security Council in 2000 about woman, security and peace.
