Aden Refinery Company (ARC) is preparing to resume the work of replacing fuel pipeline extended from the refinery to Hoswa and Mansoura plants.
The project was stopped over Houthi war on Aden city in 2015.
Director of ARC Mohammad al-Bakri told (Saba) the new pipes arrived at the Oil Port, in addition to spare parts and equipment needed for updating the power plant being carried out by specialized Chinese company.
"10-KM space is left from the Radio Broadcasting area till al-Hoswa and Mansoura Plant and will be extended during the forthcoming days," he said, pointing out that the diameter of Mazout pipeline is 16 inches and the diesel pipeline is six inches and the length both pipelines is 10 KM.
After finishing the construction, transporting process of diesel to the plants will be out of service as the pipelines will save big funds have been spent on transportation, he said.
He valued support of President Hadi and Prime Minister Ahmad bin-Daghr for implementing this important project, which cost YR 2 billion.
He added that the government has financed establishing a new bridge near al-Hoswa plant to replace the old short one to link Aden with the International Highway leading to Hodeida Province.
