KSrelief organizes awareness-raising session for parents of ex-child fighters

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) organized in Marib on Saturdaya session for parents of ex-child fighters to raise their awareness about the danger of children's participation in armed conflicts.

The armed forces continue to arrest scores of children fighting in the side of Houthi rebels and hand them over to a KSrelief-financed rehab center in Marib. The children are rehabilitated and prepared psychologically to re-enroll in school and regain their normal childhood.

The parents of children are also invited to sessions to be enlightened on the importance of preventing their children from being exploited by the Houthi militia.

The rehab program plans on rehabilitating 2000 child fighters that the Houthis had previously recruited from different parts of Yemen.
