Yemen, UAE discuss security coordination

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Eng. Ahmed Al-Maysari discussed with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, security coordination between the two countries.

Al-Maysari headed to the UAE on Wednesday in an official visit upon an invitation from his Emirati counterpart.

The two ministers discussed ways to support Yemen's security apparatuses, counter-terrorism efforts and security coordination between the two brotherly countries.

Al-Maysari pointed to the enormous responsibility of his Ministry, and what type of support and requirements are needed in this circumstance. He praised the support provided by the UAE to the security services in the provinces liberated from Houthi rebels' control.

Talks stressed the Interior Ministry's command over the various assigned and attached security agencies in the liberated Yemeni provinces to ensure improved accomplishment of mission and further security and stability.
