The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Fatah praises GCC's nations' efforts for relieving victims of Mackano cyclone

Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee—Abdulraqeeb Fatah lauded the efforts made by the brethren of the GCC member states in order to provide relief aid and move immediately to save the people who have been affected by the Mackano cyclone in the province of Socotra Archipelagos.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Fatah called on other donors and humanitarian and relief organizations which operate in Yemen to direct as quickly as possible the sufficient relief aids to save the population of Socotra and other provinces the cyclone hit.

The Minister urged coordination with local authorities and concerned parties as well as joining efforts in order to rescue the people who are still trapped and in need of food, medicines and shelter.
