Saudi air defenses intercept ballistic missile Houthis fired toward the kingdom
[24/05/2018 02:50]
RIYADH -SABA
The Royal Saudi Air Defense has intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired in the direction of the kingdom's territories by the Houthi militia from Saada province early on Thursday.

The spokesperson for the Arab Coalition forces Col. Turki al-Maliki said in a press statement quoted by the Saudi Press Agency that " the missile was heading toward the city of Jazan. And as a result (of the interception) the missile's fragments sprinkled over residential neighborhoods. But no casualties were incurred."

Al-Maliki said that this hostile action by the Iran-affiliate terrorist militia of Houthis proves the Iranian regime's continued involvement in supporting the Houthi armed militia with quality capabilities in a clear defiance of the UN resolutions no. 2216 and 2231 in order to threaten the Saudi, regional and international security.
