Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Salem al-Khanbashi, the Governor of Hadramout, inaugurated the Yemeni Cultural Summit in Mukalla on Saturday and officially opened the Arts Zone project, implemented by the Hadramout Foundation for Culture with joint funding from the European Union, the British Council, and UNESCO.

FM receives the Swedish ambassador to our country

Deputy Premier, Foreign Minister Abdulmalik Al-Mekhlafi received Tuesday the Swedish ambassador to our country Ban Knutson.

Al-Mekhlafi expressed Yemeni legitimate government's appreciation for the Swedish supportive stances in supporting the legitimate government. He also voiced deep thanks for the Swedish government's significant contribution to the UN Humanitarian Response Plan 2018.

Al-Mekhlafi's conversation with the Swedish diplomat touched upon the ongoing combat operations that aim to retake the remain provinces which are still under the Houthi militia control. He made clear that the ongoing military operations in the west coastal front, Sa'ada and Al-Baidha designed to cut-supply lines to the rebels without undermining the follow of humanitarian aids that will continue through many seaports, airports and land- entrances.

The Swedish ambassador stated that his country will continue to support the republic of Yemen and alleviate the humanitarian suffering that Yemenis have been struggling with.
