Advocacy of Rights and Freedoms, a newly formed NGO, has had its debut activity by organizing a workshop on the frequent crime of assassinations in the temporary capital Aden.
The workshop held on Monday discussed the role of CSOs, security and judicial authorities and media in combating the assassination crime and defending the victims and families of the victims.
The organization's chairwoman Huda Al-Sorari called on CSOs in Aden to stand united in combating the assassinations as a crime that worries every one and poses a threat to pluralism and coexistence.
Eshraq Al-Maqtari another female activists and member of the National Committee to Investigate Human Rights Abuse Allegations address the workshop, she said assassinations undermines the whole system of human rights values including the basic rights to life, security and freedom of expression .
At the workshop conclusion, the participants called for effective investigations by the law enforcement and judicial authorities into the prevalent crime.
