Governor of Marib meets with OCHA delegation
[07/05/2018 04:48]

MARIB-SABA
Governor of Marib province Maj. General Sultan Al-Arradah blamed the UN agencies for maintaining their headquarters in the capital Sana'a under the Houthi putschist militia, demanding the UN's organizations and other international agencies to open offices in different Yemeni provinces.

" The UN's agencies ought to be present in all Yemeni provinces, mainly the government-held provinces so that they can report about the factual situations on the ground, and not as the putschist militia reported to them", said Al-Arrada.

Al-Arrad voiced his criticism as he met Monday with a delegation of the UN Office for Coordination the Humanitarian Affairs ( OCHA). The delegation headed by Saba Jowih who is responsible for the humanitarian affairs. The OCHA' s delegation visit aimed to get first-hand facts about the humanitarian needs in the province of Marib.

The governor cited the challenges that Marib province has been facing as a result of Houthi militia's coup and war on the province. He detailed the OCHA delegation on huge pressures the province has to face due to the influx of large number of the IDP from different Yemeni provinces.
