The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Shawqi al-Mikhlafi has announced start pumping oil from Sector four owned by Safer Company for Oil Exploration and Production.

In the honoring ceremony organized by the company on Saturday to 34 significant workers on the Labor Day, al-Mikhlafi confirmed government's care of oil sector as key foundation of national economy and the ministry's care of its labor as the pivot of development.

He considered honoring the labors in their day in oil and gas sector is an expression of gratefulness to their efforts at oilfields in deserts, praising efforts of management of Safer Company and of engineers and workers in the company for working in these difficult days without operational budgets and even salaries for supplying people with gas and oil.

"Our battle today is oil sector is an economic battle and we have to win it for resembling {victories} in military, political, cultural and information battles," he said.
