House-to-house anti-cholera campaign prepared in Aden

The office of the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Aden is preparing for carrying out the vaccination campaign against cholera on May 6-10 with support from the UNICEF and the World Health Organization.

" The house-to-house campaign targets 47,386 houses and 351,995 people from one to 60 years as the first stage in four districts; Ma'lla, Towahi , Khour Maksar and Sira," General Director of Ministry of Public Health and Population's Office here Jamal Khudabikhsh told Saba.

He called on mosque preachers to help in awareness on the campaign and called on people to take necessary protection measures to protect themselves against cholera.

For her part, Director of Edification and Health Information Department Nahwan al-Ahgbari said the awareness teams will work with the vaccinating teams for the success of the campaign.

She added that they will use social media for awareness and communicate with the mosque preachers and social figures for the significance of the campaign.
