MP Al-Shaddadidiscusses Yemen latest development with UN envoyGriffiths

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Ali Al-Shaddadi discussed today with the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, the latest developments in Yemen.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives of parliamentary blocs, reviewed the efforts exerted by Griffiths to end the conflict and bring peace through the resumption of political talks.
Al-Shaddadiand the MPs with him confirmed their support for Griffiths' efforts to mediate a settlement based on the outcome of the National Dialogue, the GCC Agreement and the relevant UN resolutions.
They stressed peace will only be achieved by Houthi militia's hand over of heavy weapons back to the state and withdrawal from state institutions and by the political stakeholders' resumption of the national political conversation from where they had left off.
