Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb has said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) statement on the conclusion of Article IV consultations with the Republic of Yemen reflects an important return to institutional engagement with the international community after a long period of interruption, welcoming the content of the statement.

Shabwa Security Committee discussed on Wednesday tightening security in the province and improving performance of the security forces and boosting coordination between them for achieving peace and stability.

Presided over by Governor of Shabwa, who is the Head of the Security Committee, Ali al-Harithi, the meeting confirmed integration of efforts of all for deep-rooting security and stability and providing necessary protection to investment activities led by oil investments.

Tightening security in Shabwacoincided preparations by oil companies to resume production in the province.

The committee called for providing military units and security forces with necessary capabilities and equipment so as they will be able to perform their duties as demanded.

The meeting stressed on coordination between all military and security units and raising security alert for facing any threat.
The committee threat of beating with iron hand anyone trying to harm security.
