U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Fatah praises KSrelief's fuel grant to Yemeni hospitals

Minister of Local Administration Abduraqib Fatah expressed Yemen's gratitude to King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) for a grant of 900,000 liters of oil to hospitals across Yemen.

In a statement to Saba, said the grant which was delivered in oil tankers to Yemen's eastern Marib citywill meet the needs of health centers and hospitals in all parts of Yemen including in the territories still under the control of the Houthi rebel militia.

"KSrelief will be covering the needs of the Yemeni health facilities in line with the same standards and impartiality as in the year 2017," he said.

He said that KSrelief has been operating according to the internationally known criteria for relief aid work. He said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia pledged $500 million in the in the High-Level Pledging Event which the United Nations and the Governments of Sweden and Switzerland convened ain Geneva for the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen on 3 April 2018. .
