ADEN-SABA
Minister of Local Administration and the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee AbdulraqibFath has denounced burning stores of International Food Program in Hodeida Province on Saturday and spoil relief and humanitarian assistance.
Fath demanded the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande, Resident Representative of World Food Program and the Regional Director of the Program Steven Anderson to conduct quick, just and neutral probe into the incident and naming the party responsible on the fire for taking legal action against it.
Burning the food stores will affect food allocations of Hodeida and other nearby provinces and is a great loss to donors and other Arab and international relief agencies, he said, describing all acts targeting humanitarian relief and hindering access of the needy people to relief as terrorist acts.
Minister Fath called on the UN organizations, specifically World Food Program, to denounce these acts and reporting to the UN and Security Council on violations committed by Houthi militia against relief and humanitarian activities.
