[29/03/2018 04:38]

RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Local Administration—Chairman of Supreme Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fatah met Thursday with the British ambassador to our country Michael Aron.

Fatah's talks with the British diplomat aimed to explore British support for relief projects in Yemen.

The Minister highlighted the importance of relief project and establishing income-generate enterprises as well as reviving economic drive. He stated that the government is seeking to coordinate with all donors so as to make Geneva 2018 Conference a successful one.

Given that he is Chairman of the Supreme Relief Committee, Fatah blamed Houthi militia for further worsening the humanitarian crisis. He noted that the Houthi putschist militia has failed to comply with the relief action standards, it keeps on besieging some provinces like Taiz, creates obstructions to humanitarian assistance access to the people in need as well as looting relief aids.

Fatah stated that the Yemeni government is looking forward for greater support and directly dealing with the legitimate government. He voiced thanks for the UK government's support for the legitimate Yemeni government and people.

The British ambassador reaffirmed country's support for legal leadership and government in Yemen in different fields.
