Information Ministry condemns attack on Al-Shomooa Press Corp.
[24/03/2018 02:26]

ADEN -SABA
An official source at the Ministry of Information has condemned the repeated attacks by gunmen on Al-Shomooa Press Corporation in the interim capital Aden, the latest of which was a storming and looting of the premises, and arrest of the staff inside on Friday.

At the beginning of this month gunmen had stormed the premises and set it ablaze.

The source considered these attacks an unacceptable violation of the freedom of opinion and expression, and an attempt to weaken the government's efforts to normalize the situation in the liberated provinces, while doing a favor to the Houthi rebels.

The source called on the security services in Aden to take responsibility for the protection of media institutions and journalists after the escalation of threats and incitement against them.

The source called on the security and judicial services to track the perpetrators and arrest them and bring them to fair trial until they receive the due punishment.
