Yemeni-Russian bilateral ties discussed

Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Dr Mansour Bajash met Sunday with the Russian ambassador to our country Vladimir Dedoshken.

The meeting focused on Yemeni-Russian bilateral relations and cooperation.

The latest developments in the Yemeni national arena and the need to resume peace talks were also touched upon.

Dr Bajash underlined the importance of creating supportive atmosphere for bringing about peace, including stop of Iranian interference in Yemen, prevent Iran from supplying the rebels with weapons and experts who are continuing to attack Yemeni people and threaten international maritime navigation and disturb the region stability.

The Russian ambassador has reiterated his country's continuous support for the Yemeni legitimate government led by President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi. He stated that it is very important to keep on consultations and coordination between the two governments of Yemen and Russia in order to achieve political settlement in Yemen.
