Crude oil prices fell in early Asian trading today, Tuesday, as investors' expectations of demand growth eased due to ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China.

Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi has met the acting US ambassador to Yemen Karen Sasahara and discussed with her the prospects of political settlement as per the terms of reference for peace.
Al-Mekhlafi renewed the government's commitment to take any step that may ensure lasting peace as per those references.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining international unanimity toward resolution of the conflict. He renewed his call to the rebels to prove that they are a real and serious partner in achieving peace.
He hailed the US firm stance support of the Yemeni government and in rejection of the Iranian interventions in Yemen. He called on the international community to work together in pressuring on the Iranian regime to stop these interventions.
The US diplomat affirmed her government's support to the Yemeni government and to the internationally agreed on references for peace. She said her country would offer all possible facilitations to the UN special envoy to Yemen to make his mission in peace mediation facilitated.
