PM meets representatives of university teaching staff
[12/02/2018 02:53]

ADEN-SABA
Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daght has met members of the unions of teaching staff for different universities in the interim capital Aden on Monday.

He informed them that the government has been directed to pay the salaries of the teaching staff of different universities and the salaries of court judges. "But the Houthi militia has appointed new judges in their areas of control and even chose new rectors for universities based on their dynastical and sectarian affiliations."

He said that the militia looted $2.5 billion and YR 2 trillion from the Central Bank of Yemen and levied taxes and customs to finance their unjust war against the Yemeni people. They also suspended the payment of salaries, that is why the government with the President's support worked to relocate the Central Bank to the interim capital Aden; to prevent the state from collapse."

He confirmed his orders to the government to pay the salaries of academic staff displaced into the government-held areas to re-normalize their life.
