Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. VP meets with EU ambassador to Yemen

RIYADH-SABA

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh met on Tuesday with the European Union (EU) ambassador to our country Calvo-Puerta.

Latest developments in the Yemeni arena and several topics of common interest were in focus of the Vice President's talks with the EU diplomat.

The Vice President appreciated the EU support for legal leadership in Yemen and significant contribution to the relief and humanitarian actions campaigns aimed to alleviate Yemeni peoples' suffering. He noted that the legal government is deeply concerned about the Yemeni peoples' ordeal, and it has been trying it own best to help mitigating their suffering and improving security and stability conditions in the country.

(Lt Gen) Mossen has reconfirmed that legal Yemeni leadership headed by Presidetn Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi has been very keen on establishing peace upon the three significan references: GCC's Initiative, outcomes of the National Dialogue and UN Security Council resolution 2216.

The EU ambassador expressed pleasure to meet the Vice President and to explore peace prospects within the framework of the good offices have been made by the UN envoy to Yemen.

She has reaffirmed that the EU is backing all efforts aiming to restore legality in Yemen and re-establish peace in the country.
