Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. Health Ministry prepares to launch diphtheria, measles vaccination drive

In cooperation with the UNICEF and the King Salman Center for Relief (KSrelief), the Ministry of Public Health is preparing to launch a diphtheria and measles vaccination drive in the provinces and districts where infections are reported.

Dep. Health Minister Ali al-Walidi told Saba on Saturday that the top health officials in the provinces of Aden, Lahj, Abyan and Dhale'a, and the representatives of the WHO and UNICEF have convened and studies some plans to launch the drive.

He said that "the Ministry is waiting for those plans to be (finalized and) submitted to it" for their adoption. He said that KSrelief has showed readiness to support the Ministry in the campaign implementation.

He said that measles infections have been reported in Aden, Lahj and Jiaar in Abyan affecting especially among the IDPs.
