High Committee tasked with preparing state's general budget of 2018 continued its sessions on Sunday in the interim capital Aden, presided over by the Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Obeid Bin-Dagher.
The meeting reviewed final amendments and additions which were made on the draft of state's general budget of 2018.
The political and economic introduction which will be incorporated in the final budget proposal was also discussed during Sunday meeting.
The introduction explained that Yemen today has to pay grave price due to Houthi coup d'état on September 2014 at different humanitarian, political, social and economic levels.
The introduction also stated that the warfare launched by the militia has caused wide-scale devastation of key structures resulted in halting the economy drive, inflicting damage on the state institutions, looting resources. As a result oil and gas production stopped, it is the main source of the state's budget revenues over the recent decades.
The introduction indicated that Yemeni government as it works out the state's budget of 2018, it take into accounts all considerations and variables and has sought to renormalize life in the society in the government-held regions, repair and reconstruct the state's ruined institutions and provide basic services and secure the minimum level of honorable living conditions through providing salaries of the government's civil and military employees, at the meantime, working on defeating the coup in the regions still under the militia control.
The end of the meeting the High Committee has decided to submit the final draft of the state general budget of 2018 to the President of the Republic prior putting it to the council of ministers to approve and endorse it
