His Excellency Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) underlined the announcement of the establishment of the Multinational Naval Defense Alliance led by Saudi Arabia, describing this move as a strategic initiative and a very important step to boost collective security, protect international navigation and secure vital sea routes in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Supreme Committee for Relief Aid assesses performance of aid orgs

The Supreme Committee for Relief Aid branch office in Taiz has organized a workshop to assess the performance of humanitarian aid organizations in the Houthi-besieged city.

The chairman of the office Eng. Rashad al-Akhali said at the inauguration of the workshop on Sunday that the workshop would seek to advance a clear and transparent mechanism for the distribution of relief aid in a fair manner where no double distributions or arbitrary selection of beneficiaries is allowed."

He called on the aid organizations to prepare plans for the coming year 2018 and reports on aid deliveries to the destitute. He warned that violations or misuse of the relief aid may lead to cancelling the operation permit of the organization in question.
