VP points to risks Yemen is going through as Houthis control Sana'a

Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh has pointed to the risks Yemen is going through as the Houthi rebel militia continues to hold power in Sana'a with Iranian support.

In a meeting with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Joseph L. Votel in the Bahraini capital on Saturday, Ali Mohsen, said that the Houthi control in Sana'a with Iranian financing jeopardizes the international shipping and global peace.

He affirmed that the government with the support of the Arab Coalition is continuing the effort to end the coup and combat terrorism and smuggling of arms to Yemen by Iran.

The US official renewed his country's support to the legit government and restoration of the state and to Yemen's security and safety. He also rejected the Iranian interference in Yemeni affairs.
