The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa and Ukrainian engineers discussed in a meeting in Aden on Thursday the progress of rehabilitation works in al-Hoswah Power Plant.

Al-Akwaa emphasized the importance of expediting the arrival of spare parts in time to ensure that the plant is readied and operated ahead of the hot summer when the demand on power increases.

The government paid the Ukrainian contractor the first installment of its contract price and ordered the competent authorities to facilitate its work, said the minister.
