Iranian agents issuing fake Yemeni banknotes

The U.S. Department of Treasury announced Monday it has decided to impose sanctions upon a net of individuals and firms for involving in forging Yemeni currency banknotes, with total value might be estimated at hundreds of millions of US dollars for the benefit of Al-Quds Corps, which associated to Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

The U.S. Department of Treasury said in statement that " It had identified a network of entities were entangled in a wide-range scheme for assisting in" issuing and promoting false currency for Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

The Department explained that" This network used deceiving procedures to get around the imposed constraints upon European exports and purchased sophisticated equipment and materials for printing fake Yemeni banknotes".
