Foreign Minister and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba discussed today with Acting UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Laurent Bukera the latest developments and the repercussions of the recent escalation by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the Yemeni government and the United Nations to address humanitarian and development needs.

Vice President Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Ali Mohssen Saleh stated that the ongoing war in Yemen is fighting against the Iranian plot and endeavors aiming to destabilize the regional and international security and stability.

(Lt Gen) Mohssen affirmed that Yemeni officially authorized government backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition has been determined to stand up to Iran's scheme and neutralizing its threats.

Mohssen's statement came during his meeting Saturday with the commander of the Seventh Military Zone Maj. General Nasser Athybani and Assistant of Chief of Staff, brigadier Rashed Ateeq.

The vice president has acclaimed sacrifices made by the armed forces personnel, highly appreciating their heroic fighting in Nehm front, commending significant advancement the troops made recently.
