Minister of Culture Marwan Dammag participated on Wednesday in activities of the first Forum for Saudi Arabia's Antiques.
The forum is organized by Saudi Tourism and National Heritage here.
"The forum, which is being held under the sponsorship of the Custodian of the two Holly Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, represents a chance for discussing the situations of antiques and efforts of protecting them," said Dammaj.
He pointed out to the situations of antiquities in Yemen and dangers of being smuggled, noting to challenges facing his ministry in protecting this historical and cultural wealth.
Minister Dammajstressed on coordinating efforts with neighboring countries, especially Oman and countries of the Horn of Africa, for protecting the antiquities against smuggling.
