Any settlement must be consistent with three references, FM says
[11/10/2017 07:52]

RIYADH-SABA
The Dep. Premier and Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi said that any settlement in Yemen "must be consistent with the three agreed upon references and not legitimize the coup d'état or be wordless about the crimes associated with it."

He made the remarks during a meeting with the French Ambassador to Yemen Christian Tetsoon Wednesday. The meeting discussed issues related to political settlement in Yemen in light of the relevant correspondence between President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the French President Emmanuel Macron.

Al-Mekhlafi thanked France for its support to the Yemeni state and its role in adopting the Arab draft resolution in the Human Rights Council's 36th session in Geneva, which contribute to the unanimity of the international community in rejecting the coup and in the call for compliance with the UN resolutions on Yemen.
